Sun's out, Bees Out

Creating a pollinator garden is one of the best things you can do for Bees this summer. This helps Bees to receive the pollen and nectar they need.
Create a pollinator garden by picking up some bright and/or sweet smelling flowering plants, and bulbs that can grow all year round.
Infact, did you know that Bees absolutely love the colour purple? (no, not the novel! Although it may be worth a read)
Aside from having an instinctive attraction to Purple, violet-blue flowers are easier for Bees to see and funnily enough, these coloured flowers are the most nectar-rich. This allows Bees to pollinate which helps plant growth & food production for us!
So, why not make sure to get some lavender, bluebells, sweet violet, foxglove and catmint whilst you’re out and about.
If you want to make more use of your garden but flowers aren’t your favourite, you could always create herb garden.
Herbs can be a good way to be a little more self sufficient and learn how to begin growing the foods you enjoy. Rather that than depending on conglomerate companies to ship food to your local supermarket chain. All this and attracting bees.
